About us

Mira Hostaria has its roots in the mid-1950s, initially starting out as a bar known for its “ombrette” (small glasses of wine) and a small traditional kitchen run by my grandparents. Later, with my father, it became a gathering place for true Venetians where they could rediscover the flavors of a lost era and the genuineness of authentic hospitality.

Today, it is one of the few historic venues that still bears the name of the family that founded it, a dynasty of restaurateurs who have been telling a story of traditional cuisine and modern innovation for half a century.

We are known as one of the best lunch restaurants on the Venice canal.
